About Us

With a mission to lead people from darkness to light through education, Sh. Sushil Mahajan and Smt. Neelam Gupta started a small school in 1983 under the aegis of New Gandhi Memorial Educational Society. Under the able guidance and untiring efforts of the duo, the school today roars high in the area with a strength of over 1000 students.

Marching ahead as true educationists, NGM College of Education was established in 2001 to impart quality education to teachers who would in turn serve the society with missionary zeal.

Recently we introduced two new colleges for imparting courses in BBA And BCA from 2009 duly recognized by J&K Govt and affiliated to Jammu University.

Sh. Sushil Mahajan, Chairman of the society and Smt. Neelam Gupta, Secretary have setup a number of institutes of excellence namely,

1) New Gandhi Memorial College of Education

2) NGM Teachers Training and Research Institute

3) New Gandhi Memorial Higher Secondary School

4) Dev Prakash Institute of Teacher Training

All these institutes are ISO 9001:2000 certified.

Affiliation

The college is recognized by the J&K Government,  and is affiliated to the University of Jammu. The College offers a professional course in education leading to the B.Ed degree of University of Jammu.

The college is also recognized by UGC (P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, NGM & P7).

National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has certified vide its circular No. 49/21/2005/NCTE(N&S) dated 31st May 2007 that any candidate obtaining degree from University of Jammu shall be eligible for employment in Central Govt. and other states.

Location

College is located at Dhinde Kalan, Miran Sahib, RS Pura road, Jammu, J&K and is at a distance of 12 Kms. from Jammu Railway Station, 10 Kms. from University of Jammu and 11 Kms. from General Bus Stand, Jammu.

Students enjoy the pollution free environment and live very close to nature.
